On The Fly 6 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I'm hoping they do better simply because it really effects the morale around Fayetteville when they play badly. I had fun at the game and while tailgating, well until the lightening chased us off. I think the new coach will do well, as he ran a running style offense in Wisconsin and was fairly successful. That's SEC style football so hopefully it'll transition. Feathers and Fins Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I am not holding my breath it would be nice to see a hard smash mouth run-offense but he better be able to back it with a mobile QB and powerful air attack. Respect the run FEAR the Air. I don't think he will have that this year maybe a next year or year after. He needs to put up some Wins though but at the same time I and I think many fans understand he inherited a mess courtesy of bad recruitment by BP and horrible moral courteous JLS. If ever a College coach had a mess it is him. If he gets us a 6/6 season I will be happy. No matter what though its almost that time of year and I love College Ball. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
ozark trout fisher Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 I am interested to see how Beileima does in Fayetteville. He was very successful in the Big Ten. With that said, he relied heavily on GREAT offensive lines at Wisconsin. He'll still be able to recruit good lineman to Arkansas, but it will be harder now having to compete against Alabama and LSU and the like. And no matter how good his line is, he won't be able to dominate SEC D-lines like his teams could against middle and lower tier Big Ten teams. I think he'll keep Arkansas in bowl games most years, though, and every once in awhile challenge for a top 2-3 spot in the West. Not sure about next season. Consider that his Wisconsin teams didn't usually score a ton of points (at least except for Montee Ball), so the defense will probably have to be pretty good to win games-and that was an issue for Arkansas. But if you can beat Rutgers and all the other teams out of conference, a 6-6 or perhaps 7-5 record is at least a possibility. It should be a fun rivalry game when Mizzou starts playing ya'll in 2014. The only thing I don't' know is why it's gonna be our third year when we finally get that going. I say forget about another game against A&M and let's get it going.........
On The Fly 6 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Speaking of A&M, I'm sooo glad they're in the SEC instead of the Big 12 so that I don't have to constantly hear about "Johnny Football." Gah, that was annoying. Im sure the analysts will be all about him like they were Tebow, except, unlike Tebow...Johnny can actually throw the ball. Quillback Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Johnny is an anti-Tebow, a bad boy compared to the Tebow good boy.
Feathers and Fins Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Johnny is Natural talent, Run Pass and Smart. Also he is a Bad Boy to a degree. Tebow never impressed me, but anyone who can beat Bama and make Satan upset impresses me. If he stays healthy it will be a great year for ATM. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I'm looking forward to the A&M vs Alabama matchup this year, you know Saban has that one circled on his calendar.
On The Fly 6 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I need to get an A&M shirt to wear around town when they play the Hogs. I already have an Auburn and Bama shirt. Man I love ticking off Hog fans!
