Members jmw642 Posted July 10, 2013 Members Posted July 10, 2013 Is there a fish finder that shows you what is in front of you instead of just straight down? Would like to see what is coming like the contour and fish.
moguy1973 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 The Humminbird 360 units show you what's all around your boat. In front, behind, to the sides. $$$ though, plus you have to have a compatible main sonar (798c HD, 898c, 998c, 1198c) to hook it up to. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
jdmidwest Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 You can always mount the transponder on the trolling motor or some place farther forward to get a frontal view. Most transponders shoot down. I have seen guys suspend them from poles in front of a boat to see what is coming up. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
