What is your favorite method of getting bait deep? Lead core, bottom bouncer, in line weight. Why do you prefere that method ?

Leadcore, because I always know exactly how deep my bait is running, and I can repeat it every time.

I do use bottom bouncers to present live bait, and inlines to deadstick a stickbait sometimes, but for crankbaits I prefer the precision of leadcore.

I have to agree with PD, I have numerous delivery systems though and it all depends on what kind of bait I am trying to present. I also use bottom bouncers with a stickbait as well as 3 way rigs. Snap weights are a cool deal too.

I've heard that leadcore takes a lot of fun out of catching the fish though.

Like pulling in a boot full of water Ham, but it is a technique that works. If one wanted more of a fight I would recommend snap weights.

If you use 10/2 braid like PowerPro Depthunter, you can reach 32 feet with big Reef Runners, magnum Wigglewarts, and DD22's. Anything below that in the summer is likely doomed due to air bladder problems.

The real answer is to go vertical once they are 30 feet down. Rapala jig raps and War Eagle spoons.

I used the green until I switched to the depthunter. It changes colors every 25 feet: blue, yellow, green, orange. Every five feet it has a hash mark. You can dial in a certain length very accurately.

I have looked for that to use in addition to my lead core trolling but i do not know where to get it . Where do you find it at ?
