HMmmmm. Still sitting around without much to do and decided to take another crack at unseating Beason and/or Snagged in Outlet 3 from the humor throne. If I don't do better this time I will bow in reverence to their greater mastery at the art of humordom. So with out further ado here goes:

Our hero, the fly fisherman I'll give him the name of Beason, in the bar after a long day at the grueling task of chasing trout and catching few hoisted his beer and said,

"Here's to spending the rest of me life, between the legs of me wife!"

This of course won him the top prize and the admiration of the men in the the pub for the best toast of the year as well as the admiration of fly fisherpersons everywhere!

Our hero, Beason, went home and told his wife, Ms. Beason, "I won the prize for the Best toast of the night"

She said, "Aye, did ye now. And what was your toast?"

Beason said, "Here's to spending the rest of me life, sitting in church beside me wife."

"Oh, that is very nice indeed, Beason!" Ms Beason said.

The next day, Ms Beason ran into one of Beasons buddies name of MR Snagged In Outlet3, on the street corner. Snagged, remembering the toast, chuckled leeringly and said, "Beason won the prize the other night at the pub, after a long day of fly fishing and little or no catching, with a toast about you, Ms Beason."

She said, "Aye, he told me, and I was a bit surprised myself. You know, he's only been there twice in the last four years. Once he fell asleep, and the other time I had to pull him by the ears to get him there."

Does the term "infinity" mean anything to you, LMW?

:lol::lol::lol:

You do realize that SIO3 and I are extremely jealous and had you been there when each of us first read that story, you would have seen us (me at least) bashing my head against the wall going "why didn't I think of that one!?!?!?!?"

But, I think I speak for everyone that most honestly, while we may rib you about it - because it is SUCH a classic - the most important thing is that she was OK... and that most of us would have done exactly what you did.

Both of you must be really good people to put up with the likes of "me" (ahem) ribbing you about it...

Man! You guys are tough. You are right SIO3, it is an oldie but like I said I had some time on my hands and was just goofing off. I thought it would be worth some ribbing or a few Boo's and hisses or maybe even a few chuckles. Ohh well I know when I have been beat. :(:D:P

Of course I would never concider trying to top LMW. He went straight to the humor hall of fame with his story. :D:D

Let's see, infinity

The word infinity comes from the Latin infinitas or "unboundedness." It refers to several distinct concepts which arise in philosophy, mathematics, theology and everyday life. Popular or colloquial usage of the term often does not accord with its more technical meanings.

In Greek philosophy, for example in Anaximander, 'the Boundless' is the origin of all that is. He took the beginning or first principle to be an endless, unlimited primordial mass (apeiron)

In Judeo-Christian theology, for example in the work of theologians such as Duns Scotus, the infinite nature of God invokes a sense of being without constraint, rather than a sense of being unlimited in quantity. In philosophy, infinity can be attributed to space and time, as for instance in Kant's first antinomy. In both theology and philosophy, infinity is explored in articles such as the Ultimate, the Absolute, God, and Zeno's paradoxes.

In mathematics, infinity is relevant to, or the subject matter of, limits, aleph numbers, classes in set theory, Dedekind-infinite sets, large cardinals, Russell's paradox, hyperreal numbers, projective geometry, extended real numbers and the absolute Infinite.

In popular culture, we have Buzz Lightyear's rallying cry, "To infinity — and beyond!", which may also be viewed as the rallying cry of set theorists considering large cardinals.1

And the hall of fame to boot. Now if I could jest catch me a few fish

I fully realize that this is not up to the standards that my previous trips have set, but this was my only catch at Taney last Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
