Lefty, Fred Couples, and Payne Stewart (RIP) were always my favorites. I still remember several years ago at the US Open when Phil put his tee shot on 18th off the tent. Doh! Gotta respect a guy that always goes for it.

Tommy Watson a favorite here. Great golfer, great guy, Kansas City guy and class act. 2009 British Open was some of the most exciting golf I've ever seen. Does lots of fundraising locally. Once called a foul on himself when he accidentally moved a ball -- that nobody else saw. Quit his long time home course in KC when they refused to admit his wife because she is Jewish. Had enough stature in the game that he called Tiger out on his on-course behavior and his personal life.

Spent an evening talking with Tom at a bar in Pittsburg one night while in college. Down to earth guy that loves talking hunting and fishing and never seemed annoyed by the throngs of people wanting to get an autograph. He can still strike it too!
