Members Topwater TRL Posted August 4, 2013 Members Posted August 4, 2013 For what its worth, I caught two nice walters yesterday close to dark while drop shotting a 4" senko worm whacky style in 28 foot water dead center in a big cedar tree. Fishing the White up by marker 23 if that helps. Never caught a walley on a ds before and darn if there werent two in the same tree. Did have a nice evening on the ds bite all in trees and all 26 to 35 feet deep. Only 4 keepers but steady action on the little guys. Robo worms and whacky senko was the deal. Good luck with the walleye trip! Topwater TRL

rangerman Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Gotta love RPS!!! My go to for Table Rock has always been a three way rig with a thunderstick in either blue/chrome or firetiger fished on the appropriate contour. Even in clear water firetiger has always worked well. 3 ounce bell sinker on a 10 inch or shorter dropper pulled at 1.2-1.5mph. Caught some big un's on the James River Arm doing it. Also caught them in the trees on the outside bends trolling pearl Bomber Fat Free Shads banging the limbs on the way through.
Members Bimmer Posted August 5, 2013 Author Members Posted August 5, 2013 I really like the War Eagle spoons. The built in swivel helps line twist and the stock hooks are better than the Cabelas - although if you change out to death traps that does not matter. Check out the cole slaw color. I like the Cole Slaw and the Natural Shad looks impressive as well. Thanks Bud! God is my Pilot! I'm just riding "shotgun".
