I have always used hand control. I do not like ll she stuff on the floor. And i have known people to have a lot more trouble with their trollers caused by foot control. I cannot remember who makes mine but i can turn it 360 degrees without leaving the seat because it has a swivel type joint in the handle.

Yeah, this boat came with this motor, as far as drift fishing the Little Red or White river tailwaters, it's great, I can control the boat from the seat back at the Motor. But as far as bass fishing the EP or Current, the electric steering tends to move it to far to the right or left, this way I can control the boat, turn the thrust on and off with my foot and cast at the same time while holding the boat in the right spot! I can also still used the remote control if needed with this attacted to it!

Great Idea, I am going to add one to mine. I have also found that the "key fob remote" is much easier to use than the foot control one.

Yes, that is for sure, I actually use the key fob almost all the time, but with this handle, I am just going us the foot one as an on and off.

Yep, I will be ordering one tomorrow. That will make the motor tolerable in the current and wind. It is really bad with a jet out drive since there is nothing to help the boat track straight....

I posted a picture of the one i have with my boat on the subject show me your boats yesterday. This one folds down and can be swiveled degrees 360. I have had it 13 or 14 yres and cannot remember the name of the company thst makes them but i am sure if you research it onthe internet by something like " trolling motor hand controls you will find it.they are not to cheap as i recall.

I FOUND IT the name us PROKONTROL. I have the super model pictured on the boat on the "show your boat " thread. I really real like it will never go bactk to a foot control after owning it.

There's also a product called Troll Perfect that helps with trolling motor control in windy conditions and current. It's slides onto the TM shaft and sits over the pivot bearing. It acts to control the torque the TM motor creates and helps it stay straight and pointed where you want it when the TM is on higher speeds.
