Members showmebass Posted August 15, 2013 Members Posted August 15, 2013 July was pretty slow for crappie, but they've really turned back on lately. Here's a couple of pics from Saturday morning and Sunday evening. Caught all these south of the 12 bridge.
J-Doc Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Nice mess. Jigs? Live bait? Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!

Members showmebass Posted August 15, 2013 Author Members Posted August 15, 2013 Bluffs or brush piles??? I haven't been able to find them over brush piles in open water. I'm finding them with my SI unit in standing timber and docks that have brush underneath. Catching them on both jigs (Bobby Garland Minnow Mind'rs and Slab Slay'rs) and minnows. Here's an image from my H'bird unit in DI mode on Sunday evening:

Members brynostackle Posted August 16, 2013 Members Posted August 16, 2013 Hey everyone I have invented a crappie measure that will leave you speechless. You can measure the fish and unhook it without ever touching it. You can mount it to your boat or hold it in your hand. For details like my Facebook page "Bryno's Tackle" and visit my website www.brynostackle.com It may seem a little expensive but you have to keep in mind that it is made out of light carbon steel so therefor it will never break nor blow out of your boat. It allows you to measure your fish without touching it or taking it off of the hook. There is a slot down the side of it where the mouth of the crappie goes that allows for the line to slide though and there is a rectangle cut out where you can pull the crappie jig through and then unhook the fish. Thanks!!
