I am moving to Indian point by the end of the month and i will hopefully have my little 5 hp with my richline 14 ft alum boat. i am going to launch at the marina at the park. how are the coves in this are on indian point for fish? also will my boat be ok during the offseason with little boat traffic?

We actually stay and fish Kimberling city; but always buzz up to Indian Point to fish. We've never bothered with the coves, because we do well enough to keep coming back, on the main lake points and main lake transition banks.

In my opinion; that richline will be just fine for yah. Slightly higher sides, the 'v' hull, and that 5 horse will push you around without a problem.

But, you may start getting the itch to really start exploring other parts of the lake. Lotsa water to explore; so don't be surprised if your curiosity starts pushing you further, and further around the lake.:-)

And be sure you post fishing reports!

Lots of fish to catch in that immediate area. Plenty of docks, etc. You'll like it.

My suggestion ... get you a spinning rod with 6-pound line, a 3/16-ounce shaky head and a watermelon-red or watermelon candy finesse worm and start casting it around docks. You will get bit.
