Members swelbo1 Posted August 19, 2013 Members Posted August 19, 2013 Me and my wife are heading up Friday afternoon and we were looking for a place to drive in to pitch a tent on the river and do a day float/ fishing trip on Saturday and be able to go back to our tent for the night. Is this possible to do?if so, which put-in and take out areas would be best for this. We will have to rent a canoe also. Thanks
Ham Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 You could rent a canoe from Maumee to Hwy 14 Bridge. drive back to Spring Creek or BUffalo point after your float. Either trip would be < 10 minutes in the car at the end of the day. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Members swelbo1 Posted August 21, 2013 Author Members Posted August 21, 2013 We are renting from Buffalo River Outfitters on Saturday. What are some baits I need to bring with me? Does it fish similar to Table Rock, and do the fish relate to structure like on a regular creek?
1969Larson Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Gitzit Tournament Series 2-1/2" Tube on a 1/8 oz tube tender jig head.... in WHITE absolutely slayed them last weekend. Toss it into the moving water and float it by a big boulder. That big smallie hiding behind it out of the current will come out and nail it!
