Fishing Help!

Fishing was terrible for us (25 mm). Caught one that barely touched 15" on a baby brush hog, 1 12" spot on a custom poured craw, and a few more shorts on an x-rap worked along dock corners and boat slips. Nothing on a 10" worm. Missed one on topwater. No bass on the Ned Rig (I got desperate). Little 2" shad all over the place that I think are hurting the bite some. Didn't get around to trying the night fishing. Catfished one night with no luck either. Fish were in a funk! It was just rough, rough, rough.

Won't be back down until early November and then again for Thanksgiving. I'm hoping the spinnerbait, squarebill/wart, and jig bites will be on fire by then.

How'd everyone else fair?

I've been out for short evening jaunts with fly gear and it hasn't improved at all for me yet.

I'm looking forward to that first cold rain to hopefully pump some life into the shallows and put all those shad down for awhile.
