Quillback Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Curious if any of you who are out early Sunday are seeing fog? Weather channel is reporting fog "nearby". Seems like every morning the last few days is foggy. Also I'm curious as to what time of night or early AM it starts forming? It's kind of weird how it only seems to form around Table Rock right now, mornings have been clear here in NW AR.
denjac Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I know a lot of times down here by the dam we get tanycomo fog. It drifts over. Otherwise it wouldn't have been foggy. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. Pepe Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 We did not go out this morning but over the last few days it seems to be forming at civil twilight. We launch from Icebox Point. Before it is light we have had no fog and none seems to form usually where the Kings meets the White but if we head toward the bridge we get some and if we head up the White it starts about 1/2 mile up.
Quillback Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Must have something to do with the White I guess, it was pea soup at the Big M Thursday morning.
kjackson Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Must have something to do with the White I guess, it was pea soup at the Big M Thursday morning. And at Eagle Rock as well; it was thick enough that I didn't get on plane. Of course, the abundance of trash in the water was another factor. You'd think it was high slack after a storm. This morning I stayed in but there was enough mist/humidity in Eureka Springs to be noticeable. I kinda wondered what it was like at Dam Site.
