Pepe Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 We will have some elderly relatives from the Tetons visiting the week after Labor Day. We plan to take them to Taneycomo for a morning of fishing with a couple of guides. I haven't ever fished below the dam and am concerned about the summer heat. How much cooler is it than a morning on TR this time of year?
crazy4fishin Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Speaking from experience there is a fair temperature variation comparing Taney to TR for a couple of reasons...first the water is cooler and even more so if they are generating and if you are in the upper end the bluffs make a huge difference as to when the sun beats down. If there is a breeze it is even more comfortable. If they are getting guides I am sure they will be on the water in the 6 a.m. range and off by 11ish - so it shouldn't be horrible, but always follow the drink water rule. C4F Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
