Hunter - I am down during the Big Bass and the Yeti tourney....I never really noticed any more traffic than usual either on the roads or the water. I also stay down on Taney the week of Labor Day and it used to be very quiet but given all of the attractions etc. it has become just as busy as any other time even on the lake. C4F

I am down for my yearly week-long trout fishing adventure...and this has been one adventure to say the least. PSA - don't bend down in an awkward way, as that will throw your back out in a heartbeat, come to find out that body part is important! Now back to fishing. The water has been off mornings, and the weather has been cool - that makes for some great jigging! Using a 1/32 maribou jig I was able to catch a limit in short order. Most were caught from the boat ramp just down from Fall Creek to Short Creek. Fish sizes have ranged from stocker to right at 15" All were fighters and released back to be caught again. Here are a couple of pictures.

This is great news Phil! I always thought that your group owning that property would be the best for it. Are you going to keep the ramp? I have to agree with the rest of the posts about how your team operates, and no matter who you are or when you are down they make you feel like family. As I sit here waiting for next Friday to arrive, that is when I start my vacation, and yes I will be staying at Lilley's, I think this is at least year 25 staying at Phil's place if not more. Some great memories for sure! C4F

What sad news, Buster was one of the first guides that I used when I started fishing Taney and TR. That was 25+ years ago. We developed a friendship that extended to our families sharing meals and many a fishing trip - like all of us there were life issues but he was always smiling and that man could fish like no other. Bill is right, he went home to soon for those if us still on the spinning ball! Prayers for his family during this time C4F

I see that I finished 12th in our league...better than I thought since I stunk at a couple of events. It was a great year - I had a hard time adjusting to the new talent in the field. Are we all getting a participation trophy? C4F
