Oil Change On Verado Help

use boat two to three times a week maybe run motor (200 verado) hour or so each time out sometimes more sometimes less 3000 to 3500 rpm seldom more probably 8 months of the year question is do i need to change oil every year i am not using synthetic does oil have a shelf life have been changing filter and all but wondering if it is needed thanks for feed back

It's a good idea to change it periodically even if you have low actual running hours on it since 4-stroke outboards CAN get water/fuel/pollen in the oil.

Besides, once a year (every Fall ) whether it needs it or not should give you some peace of mind. Do the gearcase at the same time.
