I made my first trip out in six weeks Saturday morning. Fished between Holiday Island and Eagle Rock from 6:15 to 10:30. Water temps 83 at HI and 85 at Eagle Rock. I targeted walleye and fished inside bend flat breaks to the channel. Live bait and trolled cranks. No bites. Zip. Nada.

The bad news is that I was headed uplake to make one more stop to try something different when I crossed a large wake (the traditional holiday boat traveling at the perfect speed to make the largest wake for the tuber and the PWC behind it.) As I bounced I looked to the side and the wind/bounce snatched my glasses from my face to the lake bottom.

That ended the trip, gave me something to do in the afternoon, and hit the wallet as hard as a Steez.

You have my sympathy, being a glasses wearer myself, I understand the wallet damage that can be done when purchasing prescription, polarized glasses (if that's what you had).

A couple of thousand years from now, if there's still archaeologists around, they're going to have a field day sifting through these lake bottoms (assuming the lakes are dry by then). Glasses, cell phones, outboards, boats, cars, fishing gear....
