Quillback Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Well seeing how the Razorbacks blew it (why did that kid try and field that punt?). I have to say it should be OSU vs Florida. In my opinion Michigan had their chance and they got beat by OSU. The championship game should be between two conference champions, no 2nd place teams allowed. We really need a playoff of some kind, but since there isn't one I guess we'll continue to have this kind of controversy every year.
Members hotrodtoddd Posted December 3, 2006 Members Posted December 3, 2006 i think michigan v/s osu.... osu only beat michigan by 3 in osu stadium.....put them in a neutral field and i think michigan will be a different team totally.....so im saying osu v/s michigan
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 3, 2006 Root Admin Posted December 3, 2006 I think OSU and Michigan would be the better game but... If Michigan wins, there'll be a big stink. They'll probably pick OSU and Florida but OSU will win big.
LostMyWife Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 If it's about ratings and what the best game would be, it HAS to be Ohio State v Michigan. 3 points in OHIO is a tie! On a neutral site this is great game. No home cooking, nuetral or as nuetral as it gets, crowd. How many people were at the first game? The bands didn't even get tickets. Ohio v Florida won't even be a game. The ratings will be lower than the final episode of "Smith". And, yes, if Michigan wins all hell will break loose. Won't that be great! The BSC at it's finest. Members TexomaOkie Posted December 4, 2006 Members Posted December 4, 2006 Since I'm a Sooner season ticket holder and don't have a dog in the hunt, I wanted to see Michigan go and beat OSU. I have a strong dislike for the BCS system and that outcome would have created the biggest outcry for change. Use the bowl games as part of the system and give me a playoff! Only then will we have a REAL national champion.
mcp633 Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 I'm with you 100% on the playoffs. They do it in DII, why not DI? There will always be controversy when you let a computer and a math formula pick the national champion. OSU v. Florida, give me a break! If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them
LostMyWife Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 This is going to be a great game. Ohio State vs Florida. The ratings will be off the charts. Why they may get a .5 share that day. I'm thinking about buying TV spots on that game. I here they are going 2 for $1. I HATE the BSC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I'm That Guy
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Defiantly Michigan, but I'm sure it will be Florida. Like a lot of things, the obvious is overlooked, Michigan has only lost one game and thats to the number 1 team, on their turf, by hair. Oklahoma played Nebraska one year in the Orange Bowl, after losing to them in a regular season game, and they took it to them. I disagree on the BCS, I think it works, the problem is that the media needs less input and the coaches none. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
LostMyWife Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 I just heard on sports center that the BCS had Florida and Michigan in a dead tie. The writer and coaches poll tipped it to Florida. Yes, I'm That Guy
