I was told the the railroad tie bridge support things are now gone at the entrance of the little creek on the north past the Beaver bridge. Anyone know how this happened? We kinda assume it has something to do with the August flooding in that area and debris stacking up against it. mezenypy.jpgjysybube.jpgy2agebyz.jpg

Yes the flood down Butler Creek was real bad, besides the old railroad bridge supports it took out the Rail Road Winery, and nearly killed a lady when her car was swept away. Worst I have seen, I have been coming down here since 1976. I have spotted one of the timbers buy the railway bridge in Beaver town but that was weeks ago. Keep you eyes open up that way. Duck

Thank you very much for the info! We stay at a friends cabin a few miles into the Missouri side and end up down there from time to time. I hate seeing old things like this change but its bound to happen I guess. About 2 days before the flood I was as far as the big bend on the northern most side in Butler Creek (didn't know that was the name) and couldn't go any farther do to the huge amount of debris back there. It was a fight to get that far even. We left the day following the night it flooded. I've never seen water come up like that or so much current. The current was easily visible on the Eagle Rock camp courtesy dock. I wish we could have stayed another day. Anyway my bosses where there this weekend and told me that it was gone. They've been fishing that spot for years. They also said some idiots in a ski boat were skiing on the flat side in there on the left. I hope they weren't looking down when they did.
