Installing Spark Plugs

The manual for my 2 cycle Yamaha 115 hp says to torque the plugs to 18.4 ft. Pounds. This equates to 221 inch pounds.

This seems way too tight. When I tighten them to 100 inch pounds this seems plenty tight. Need recommendation.

Forget the torque wrench. If unsure, just put a 1/4 inch drive ratchet on with adapter and get em tight.

I have never put a torque wrench on a spark plug...and I have installed thousands of'em.

You can feel when the sealing ring seats firmly, and that's all you need to worry about on your 2-stroke Yammie.
