Geoff Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Nice....I need to go spend like 100 bucks at Hargrove sometime to just have all kinds of nonsense to just tie whatever. "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."

Flysmallie Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Hey now, if you aren't breaking thread then you aren't trying hard enough. Â Â
Lancer09 Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Hey now, if you aren't breaking thread then you aren't trying hard enough. I never said I don't, it's actually a pretty common occurrence.
Flysmallie Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 it's actually a pretty common occurrence. When I first started out tying I would freak if I broke the thread, now it's just like one of the steps. I've had lots of practice recovering. Â Â
Members MikeH Posted October 16, 2013 Members Posted October 16, 2013 Messing around with hair and goo. I tied the yellow/brown a little different than I usually do these. There's a gama octopus in the butt end and a rattle in the middle. -Mike
Ozark Sweetwater Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I just watched Brian's video on the Double Deceiver, man he's fast! (watch the video and you'll get it). Isn't that big fly on top of the thread something like a double deceiver? The one I tied for the swap is a mash up between a hang time , double deciever, and a circus peanut. I have dubbed it the "hanging nutty deceiver" or HND for short. http://ozarksweetwater.com
Jason R. Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Trigg- that fly is sick. I was wondering who in the swap tied that. I'm almost afraid to throw it and risk losing it. http://flyinthesouth.com/
