Corps Launches To Close If There's A Government Shutdown!

I was concerned what effect the possible shutdown will have on COE launches, I called the Rogers AR office and the person there told me they will close the parks if the shutdown goes into effect. Rangers will go out tomorrow morning and barricade the park entrances. This is what I am told, if you have questions, you should call the Corps.

So that's pretty much...........all Army Corp of Eng. ramps correct? Would it affect the private launch at Hickory Creek? What about Prairie Creek? That could kill the PC Marina shop and JJ's rest. there at the Marina.

That means it's prime real estate parking at old ramps and roads that offer a ramp or access to water. Talk about having to get there EARLY for a parking spot. Man this is going to be terrible. At least ski-boat season is winding down.

Thank God im not afraid of rocks, gravel or stumps. It should gut down on wake boats and well anything Fiberglass. 12 bridge will be very busy.

That's a good point, I can't see them closing access to the marinas, for example PC.

Maybe not to the Marina but remember the ramp is a separate road they could close. I hope not ( not like anyone is there anyway ) but bathrooms would be closed for sure and all camp sites.

Yeah I wonder if the ranger will go knocking on campers doors telling them to get out. Closed bathrooms could lead to brown trout being released in the woods (watch where you step).
