jdmidwest
I was really wanting to do a float on the Jack's Fork this weekend but can't come up with any info about the closure. STL Today stated on Tues that the rivers in ONSR was closed to floaters. I do know there is alot of private land around Eminence, surely there is private access that the Federal Gov. can't block. Has anyone came up with a confirmation that you can not float the Jack's Fork? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. moguy1973
What's really bad is you can't visit the ONSR's website to get that info because it's shut down. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
jdmidwest
And you can't find out anywhere else. I guess I will just have to call someone. moguy1973
I think in the "rivers open or closed" thread it said that the rivers are open for floating, but the campgrounds are closed and the outfitters located in the park cannot operate. http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/topic/41067-govt-shutdown-river-open-or-closed/?p=302222 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
LarrySTL
Today's electronic version of RHT: "Ozark National Scenic Riverways Superintendent Bill Black, and Superintendent Black stated that the rivers are OPEN for floating and boating"....but that improved campgrounds are closed due to lack of services. This was specifically about the Current and JF. http://intervenehere.com
