No way of making it into a smaller circle. Have not used it much in the wind but it does have a spot to tie stakes. It's not really very big but i don't need much, just something to keep the dew off. As for fold up, there is nothing to it after a couple times. It can be folded up in about 10 seconds.

Coosa, curious as to where you got that tent, that's might be something i'm looking for. Looked at some at ( sorry Al :) ) Walmart, found one that boxed up was even smaller than yours there, ti would fit inside the coosa easily. For those who haven't been around one of these Kayaks, you might be surprised as to how much room is actually inside there.

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

I saw some just today at A to Z in Alma AR. $20 all camo colored. I really liked the looks of them.

Duct Tape/ Gorilla tape has been mentioned on here, which i'd say is a no brainer to take with you. I have finished days of harvest on a picker or a combine because of Duct Tape and bailing wire. Curious has anyone knocked a hole in there canoe or plastic kayak and used the tape to patch it up to finish out. I'm here to tell ya, I think Gorilla tape would do that as long as you didn't scrap it over rocks, it works wonders on the farm!

I bought my tent on eBay for $45. Maybe could have found one a little smaller to fit better but I was in a hurry and needing it now at the time.

One of the best purchases I discovered a few years ago is a large tupperware container that has a lid that snaps on. And one that you selected based on measurements to fit in a certain spot of the canoe very snuggly. It functions as a giant pantry; holding all your pots and pans, paper towels, utensils, dry food and snacks, flashlights and loads of other miscellaneous stuff. I hate digging around in dry bags looking for odds and ends. At the end of the trip, this stuff never makes it out of there, its the perfect storage container ready-to-go and keeps it all together.

Another favorite purchase, this one more recent, the "luggable loo". Its a toilet seat that snaps onto a 5 gallon bucket. Getting too old to do the squat thrusts anymore. I keep a folding army shovel in the bottom to dig a waste trench, with some TP in a ziploc and a small pack of aloe vera scented wet wipes, bio-degradable poo bags to fit over the bucket, and a copy of the latest SI Swimsuit edition. Kate Upton seems to aid in difficult BM's.
