jdmidwest Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Looks like California is leading the way banning all lead ammo in order to save the little condors. No lead ammo can be used because it is harmful to animals? Duh. I guess they will have to stick to bowhunting over in good old sunny CA, http://www.realtree.com/hunting/realtree-hunting-blogs/realtree-outdoor-news/california-bans-all-lead-ammo-for-hunting "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Quillback Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I can understand banning lead shot from shotgun shells, but not from rifle ammo. This is more of a move to appease the anti-hunting groups than anything. One more reason why I will never live in California.
jdmidwest Posted October 17, 2013 Author Posted October 17, 2013 They are banning lead because the Condors are eating carcasses that are crippled and get away. When a rifle bullet expands, it leaves fragments in the meat, and the condor consumes it and dies? It is a far stretch. And of course, it is for the humans too, they eat the infested meat also.
