I have only fished taney a few times from the boat, but I really enjoyed it and had a great time. How is the fishing? it was so so last night when they had the water on.

No one gripes about obese fish.

Water is slower and lower now. The guys fishing from their boats near me were catching fish on every drift. Its been rough for me. Its been windy and the water was pretty swift. Ive landed a handful so far, fishing near the bank and using some of my own fly creations, which is fun. Had a couple snap my tippet like nothing (6x).

Time to get back to it! :)

Gotta love tailwaters.

I can't dance like I used to.

Where were you fishing? Was up there in the white grizzly from 10 till noon. Fishing jigs. Caught a few rainbows but the wind made it tough. Didn't see a lot caught even in the outlets. More caught in one than two. Fish I had my fly rod... they were midging good as the water was dropping out. They would have taken a soft hackle or crackleback I bet.

I was up near the dam across from outlet 1 on the other side (north side?). I only saw a few people throwing spin rods, but dont recall their boat. I only landed a dozen fish, but hooked up a bunch and lost a handful of flies. I was using midges...

Overall, it appeared to be a slow day all around. Once the water was shut down, there was practically no current. After the sun came out and the wind died down a little, people started showing up. I counted about 50 at one point.

Yeah I saw you fishing on the south side. We fished towards the outlet side.

I haven't had the chance to be there in a while but I find it true and funny how an improvement in the weather brings the people, if not the fish.

I fished outlet three and below from 7 until midnight Saturday. Caught a few while the water was running but as soon as the water dropped they shut off. I tried everything I know to use and then some. Typically the stretch below rebar is quite productive but I didn't see many other anglers catching fish either. On the other hand I spoke with a gentleman from Kansas City in the parking lot who claimed to have caught a 15 lb rainbow earlier in the afternoon between outlet 2 and 3 somewhere, I said prove it and he did with a picture, huge fish.
