Quillback Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Felt more like a January morning out there today than October. Jeb and I threw the baits around this morning and managed to scratch out 10 black bass between the 2 of us. Almost all largemouth, with one spot in the bunch. Mostly caught on jigs up shallow, and a couple on c-rigged plastics. Lots of shad back in the backs of coves now, the bass seem to be back there with them, but they just weren't that active this morning. Water temps 67-69.
Hojo Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I fished the White River arm w/ a buddy and we had 15 between the 2 of us. Mostly LM as well. Everything on cranks around shallow wood. A couple keepers but nothing to write home about. Beautiful day. Did spoon a couple small stripers up at the mouth of War Eagle.
J-Doc Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The bite has definately picked up compared to the late summer closed mouth bite. Need marine repair? Feathers and Fins Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Dam didn't see this thread. Same for me yesterday the Blacks were on the chew at Rocky Branch, 12 Bridge and PC. Couple barely legal stripers at RB. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
jolicious Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 fished clear water today. Nothing big, but we managed a little limit at 7.94lbs. Jigs in 30'. Caught 20-25 total, just couldn't get the big bite.brush piles in Clifty
J-Doc Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Does this mean you used...... .YOUR SONAR??? Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Feathers and Fins Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Does this mean you used...... .YOUR SONAR??? For me it was Aquavu and a spoon for some and a BassX for the others. Though I heard rumors of a guy in a bass boat with a 70'' LCD tv screen sonar with 4 36'' lcd screens surrounding it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
