Dylan Cluver Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 what are your guys' favorite color of egg to use. A couple years ago mine was peach, it was straight deadly on Taney but have not had as much luck on it this year, pink has been so so. Multi colored being another decent one, in MO or ARK has anyone had good results using and egg with a dot in it? Overall, not just for one certain fishery, what is your favorite/most productive color of glo bug to use? No one gripes about obese fish.
Greasy B Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 1, Oregon cheese. 2, Oregon cheese with a pink eye. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
moguy1973 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Orange with a pink or peach yolk has always worked for me at all the parks... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 has anyone had good results using and egg with a dot in it? I much prefer a dot, but for 2 colors the YK2 seems to be just as effective and too easy too tie. Many years ago a guide in Baldwin MI, Jim? and Phil knows the last name, that was a double with the second egg tied on heavy mono and used as a tag. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
dennis boatman Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I have never had any success with these types of "flies". I most likely haven't given them enough time in the water, but I can't think of a single fish caught. That said, they are fun to make...and I have plenty... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Members brianwright Posted November 13, 2013 Members Posted November 13, 2013 I caught two this weekend that had pink glo bugs hanging from their mouths.
