Anyone know if they offer classes on how to take advantage of all the features on a fishfinder. Mine has so many but it seems I only use it to check the depth, temperature and structure. I would like to become much more knowledgeable in using mine.

I don't know about that, but there's a great thread on fish finder interpretations in the general forum:

go to bass boat central and they have all kind of info on using, settings and understanding what you are seeing. I find this is a great place to use.

look up doug varhenberg on you tube also. he has a whole series of videos on the use of the side image and down image units (800, 900, 1100 series graphs). i think he may be one of the guys that has articles and videos on bbc as well. some of the guides on this forum are very informative and knowledgeable, so use the search engine, and you should find a lot of info that will help you. thats what i did when i bought my 858 and 898 last year, and i learned so much.

good luck

Ric:

Go to Youtube and type in Doug Vahrenberg (sp)? He has posted a ton of videos using Humminbird SI, DI, and 360. Highly recommend any one to check these out, includes features, how to set up, and a bunch more.

go to bass boat central click on bbc boards. the first board has everything that doug has ever posted on using and understanding what you are seeing. also pics captured by other people using hb. I review this about every 90 days to check for new info. also be sure to register on hb website. as they make changes and upgrades they put on this website and you can download to sd card and update your unit. just be sure before you download you restore factory defauts
