in my big river boat. 18'x56" aluminum blazer super sport i am running an alpine mp3 head unit(don't remember number) in a marine h/u waterproof box, the ones that have the flip up lid to access the unit. work great. had it in there for a year and no problems. then for highs and mids i am running 2 6" kicker marine and 2 6x9 clarion marines. and under my back hatch i have a 10" kicker marine sub powered by a 600watt kicker marine amp. the only thing that i have found really is worth spending the extra cash on marine stuff is the amp. i have went through 2 or 3 regular car amps due to moisture and water damage... this one has been fully summerged and came out 100%.

i buy all my stuff on ebay.. you can get last years models for 50-75% cheaper than overtons, crutchfield, or any other retailer.

i love my sub in my boat.. it makes for a very nice well balanced system. gotta love the haven't high sq on the water :) i have my amp connected to a switch though so if i am float fishing i can kill the sub so it won't scare the fish and i can still have some music in the background
