Al Agnew Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 You gotta understand the star ranking. Not every player really gets evaluated. If a player doesn't attend many camps and plays for an obscure high school and there's no buzz about him, he automatically gets a couple of stars IF a couple of middle tier schools start recruiting him. If some big name schools start recruiting him, the stars start adding up. It's still possible to be a school like Mizzou and find under the radar guys that can play, and it's also possible to take 2 star players and develop them into NFL caliber players if they have the physical tools, which Mizzou seems to do well.
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 And I might add that in this area a lot of small town players get overlooked. In the end no one can overlook the fact that some coaches can go anywhere and have a winner, but the more outstanding players the higher in the rankings. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
