Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 26, 2013 Root Admin Posted November 26, 2013 A Corp internal notice- Dissolved Oxygen conditions in the tailwater of Table Rock dam have improved, the new recommended maximum generation rate is 80% nameplate capacity; 160 mw total or 40 mw per unit. Please continue to spread the load across all units. If generation above 160 mw is required, LOX injection is available with 42.5 T LOX on hand.Should oxygen levels in the tailwater during 80% nameplate generation prove to be less than 4 mg/l, then LOX injection should occur as needed.
Travis Swift Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Does that mean they will slow this dang water down some?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 27, 2013 Author Root Admin Posted November 27, 2013 Nope. If anything, they can now run more water, almost unrestricted, without spending $$$ on oxygen.
Travis Swift Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 That's fantastic news. Nothing better than dock fishing with 3 units running. Shoulda brought the boat this time but I've been blessed with 4 trips here this year and the other 3 were great and this one is all about family anyhow.
John W Kelly Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I was pretty bummed last Saturday when they decided to run several units as soon as I got there, and then ran them all day long. The wind didn't help either...
