J-Doc Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Very true. I have several good baits in the lake because of wrap ups. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Members Bass Ivy Posted December 11, 2013 Author Members Posted December 11, 2013 Thanks for the info everyone. Man this weather is nasty it will drop the water temp on down some. Last time I was on the water before this nasty weather the water temp was around 52 in the 12 bridge area. Im glad to hear there are some moving in coose and around the PC marina.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Bass, I was able to get to the lake yesterday in my truck, I would not risk trailering to it for another few days our local, state and county roads departments as im sure you know have screwed the pooch. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Bass Ivy Posted December 14, 2013 Author Members Posted December 14, 2013 Yep they sure have screwed the pooch. Lots of people are not real happy about it;
Feathers and Fins Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 We got out yesterday for a duck kill and were surprised at the number of Bass in skinny water 3ft and under on flats, just before leaving we watched either stripers or whites go on a major attack on bait in Prairie Creek but no way to tell with the freezing rain and fog on the water which one it was. I was going to hit the ducks again today but with falling temps and roads still wet I don't feel like having my boat ski past me on the road. Maybe tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Greg W Posted December 14, 2013 Members Posted December 14, 2013 F&F-Any idea what the water temp was?
Feathers and Fins Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I would guess low 40's didn't have the sonar on though Ice was formed in shallow water near the bank but not on main lake https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Greg W Posted December 15, 2013 Members Posted December 15, 2013 So will that push them to deeper water to stay warm?
Feathers and Fins Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Honestly I would have thought it would have pushed everything deeper but seeing bass in as little as 2ft of water I don't know. My guess would be deeper but coming up to feed in shallow https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Stump bumper Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Sounds like a shad die off might be coming soon...the shad will run up shallow before they die.
