LittleRedFisherman Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Almost forgot... Here is that Brook. Wow, what a beauty!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
hoglaw Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Marcus, did you see us on that Friday? There were five of us in canoes. My brother and brother-in-law were in one, my stepfather was in a green one with a motor, and fiancee and I were in the other. We saw a few groups that included a lady, so I think there's a good chance we saw you. That pod of giant fish we saw splashing around were on the left side of the island. We floated down the right side then eased back up into the left side. Didn't catch any though.
marcusearlt Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Hoglaw- No I didn't see y'all on Friday. We were at JFK and 305 and Dripping on Friday. We were wading Wednesday on some of the same stretch y'all did on Friday. Ya we caught 'em on the left and right side of that island, but they were fussy. 6X and 18/20 midges and a palsa did the job. I'm going back down between semesters in a couple weeks and hopefully we will get a little generation for streamers and jerk baits. I wish I could make it over the White River trip but I got to go boss up on some finals. This OA trip to the White will be epic! Members cmcclu Posted December 20, 2013 Members Posted December 20, 2013 What a brook! According to the AGFC site the record brook is 5.0 lbs. I am glad to still see that they are in there.
marcusearlt Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 Ya, it sure is one heck of a fish. The record will not change though because I'm pretty sure you have to beat it by a 2 ounce minimum, that fish being 5.08 lbs is only 5 lbs and 1.28 ounces. I think that's how it works...
