BilletHead Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Every winter we get swans that winter in the city park. This year there are thirteen. We have one with a neck band and one with a nice new shiny leg band. Also a guy dumped a sack of popcorn, they like it. Justin Spencer Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 You know some states have a limited season for swans. BilletHead Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 Yes I knew that Justin. When I was looking at them all I was thinking was wonder what they taste like and how neat to own a neck or leg band from one of them. I think the neck banded one has been coming for several years. It has a bum leg, BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" vonreed Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 It's probably a long shot, but I think I saw that flock fly over me roughly a week ago while I was bowhunting in Nixa. They were definitly swans and they were headed south. When did they show up down there? And where are you?
BilletHead Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 I would say they have been here about a month or so. Vernon County at Katy Allen lake. The County lake is also holding lots of Canada geese, ducks and some specklebellies.
