Big Brown Trout Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 so I have heard rumors for a while that white bass run up shoal creek on the Missouri side. I would like to get out and fly fish for some this year, does anyone know if white bass run up shoal and possibly where/when? Let the summer of Carp, begin.
Buzz Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I've never heard that, but I don't hear a lot of things. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Chief Grey Bear Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I doubt the can get over the dam at Baxter Springs. I know they for sure can't at Riverton. Unless Empire Lake has a population of them, I don't see it happening. Bird Watcher Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Pretty much what Chief said, but I have caught them before North of Galena on Spring River so I guess anything is possible. Most of them come up from the lake and are blocked at Baxter unless we are completely flooded out, then I could see maybe catching some at Riverton. I've never seen water level with the top of the dam at Riverton though.
Big Brown Trout Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 kind of my thoughts to, a guy I work with swears up and down he is going to get a haul of them this year. Let the summer of Carp, begin.
