Members Conman64 Posted January 22, 2014 Members Posted January 22, 2014 C'mon Jerry, if I'm going to get out Saturday I need all the help I can get... I believe had you Carolina rigged that Brush Hawg you may have added a kicker to bump you up to 26 lbs, maybe tonight. Surprised to hear the spook bite is on this early.
Old plug Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Well if there is no wind on Pomme like there is here on LOZ you might have a lot more ice tomorrow. Then they are calling for 2 single digit temps the next 2 nights. I think i would just stay home.
MOPanfisher Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Water temp by the dam was 37 yesterday morning. No wind and single digits will build an ice layer quickly with the water already that cold. We were going to go to LOZ on monday but thinking the wind was going to switch to the north earlier we wimped out.
MOPanfisher Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 1/22/2014 As of this morning: Nemo Park = Iced in (not very thick but not gonna thaw for a few days probably) The Harbor = Open. Although a thin ice is beginning to form so likely will ice in the next couple days. Wheatland = open. Looks really cold out there but ramp is open. Will add more as I get around to check them.
ten_scoach Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Mo. Many thanks for the solid information. Definitely something we all appreciate as we read. I wish all corp reps had as much community involvement as you do. I am sure most of your colleagues are excellent people, just very few share as much as you do. Thanks
MOPanfisher Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I just have the advantage of working at a lake small enough I can check more easily, that and not being a very good manager who will abandon his desk and work at any opportunity to go out. Boat Ramp and Ice Report for Monday Jan 27th The Harbor = Open Outlet (River) = Open Hermitage State Park = Open Nemo Park = Iced in (Main lake ice above Nemo, patchy but frozen all way across in places) Pittsburg Landing = Iced in Bolivar = Open (main lake frozen from point upstream past fishing docks) McCracken Bridge/PP access = Iced in Lightfoot = Open. Main lake frozen above 83 Marina in places. Wheatland = Open.
