Justin92297 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Heading out this weekend to fish most or all of these lakes. Was wondering if any of you guys have fished them yet and if so what's been working. I would like to fly fish but if spinning gear has been working I'll pick up my spinning rod too. Thanks!
Kayser Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I hit walker lake a couple months ago, caught some fish on larger beadheads from the dock. I think it will be open kinda quick with this thaw, since the fountain runs 24/7, but you'll probably see a lot of ice out there yet. WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
moguy1973 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I'm fairly certain all those lakes are going to be froze over right now. I know Walker was the other day when I drove by. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Geoff Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Yeah its still too soon to go fish them after that freeze. Plus if they do open up any, its going to be trout park crowded in the open areas. "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
Justin92297 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 Yea I was worried about that. I'll drive out there just in case. You never know with all this rain
stlfisher Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Jefferson will be frozen...that lake freezes at the drop of a hat...not sure about the others.
Gavin Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Tilles has been iced up for awhile. Drive by it almost every day.
