Micheal Kyle Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Hunted the danger zone today and whacked them. We had a 3 man limit of mallards by 7:45 not sure why theses ducks are using this area but they are using it hard. There is a little feeder creek coming into the spot and the ducks love it. We had no encounters today with 5/0 however we decided to move down the lake where the Gadwalls have been known to hang out and had a guy come down to his fence line and inform us that it was private property, we informed him we were on public water and until we step foot out of the boat to keep to himself. We started to set up and he started to ride his ATV all over it was down past Cedar point about 1 mile so we have our new spot for next week:) We ended going back to first slough down from the landing set up again and whacked the gadwalls and got 4 gadwalls a ring neck and a red head. duckydoty Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Lots of hunters out this morning. Had the pleasure of helping a young man get his 1st ducks ever. I'm sure I'll be seeing those boys on the water in the future. Had a bobcat steal a bird that I sailed behind me. Bird was only on the ground or edge of the water for 5 minutes. Really nice morning to be out there A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

Wayne SW/MO Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Probably a giant, I know there were some in the refuges north of KC so they're in the flyway. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Feathers and Fins Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I prefer the Doors ( the end ) to play very loud after a good day lol. Wayne its one of the residents and they are giants as well. Ive seen more 14 to 16 pounders this year then in a long time but for the life of me I cant find the little ones this year and its annoying I love shooting squeakers. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
