Brian Wise Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 I liked the assistant, she's a cutie. Looks like she was having a good time too. Ha, she is AWESOME. She is my niece and 1 of 5 kids......and she ended up with ALL the personality out of all of them. Thanks guys! My Youtube Channel
Lancer09 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 This looks like an awesome fly for hybrids. I'll have to add a couple to my box. What kind of beads are you using there?
Brian Wise Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 What kind of beads are you using there? They are beads from Hobby Lobby.....I had bought my grandma a bunch of really cool glass beads for her to do crafts with (the whole time I was thinking "MAN these are awesome") and when she passed away a couple of months ago the beads that she hadn't used yet came back to me. Pretty cool. These are actually some beads that are strung on a wire, I think you they come in 25 per string and are something like $3.75. Pretty pricey for fly tying---but they are really nice. Geoff Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I tied one the other night, I went slightly different with the head though, used laser dub. A friend of mine tied one this way and I really dug it, im going to need some more of the polar chenille though. Stuff is cool. I have to say, I think Polar Chenille is probably my favorite product right now. If I tied 'regular' Woolies anymore, I would have a Marabou tail and Polar Chenille body...that's it. Geoff Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 it turned out alright. I need more colors of both laser and polar. Here's a poor photo of it "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
