Lancer09 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 We Headed down to fish the while below Bull Shoals Dam for the opening of the catch and release are today, lumped in with the streamer love fest event at Dallys. The fishing was great, catching decent, and got colder as the day went on. Seven of the eight fish we caught came on simi-seal leeches stripped back through the current. I did get one on a headbanger sculpin and had another come unbuttoned. All rainbows except for one brown and man were they colored up today. This little fella bit off a bit more than he could chew. We wrapped up and Headed over to Dallys and had a blast over there. Watched THE Brian Wise tie for a while as Well as some of the guides. Met Trigg and a few other people as Well. They had some rocking BBQ, and gave a ton of free stuff away. I'll definitely be back down there before too long,
Quillback Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Looks like a great day! Some cool color on that 1st rainbow pic. Some scrambled genetics on hatchery rainbows, but they should be spawning, or attempting to spawn before long and getting their spawning colors.
duckydoty Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Great pictures! I gotta know….does Brian tie at super sonic speed in real life???? :-) A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

I enhanced it a bit but the color was even better than the picture. We did about as Well as anyone there fishing except for a select few. And No. Brian doesn't tie that fast in person.
Members MattTucker Posted February 5, 2014 Members Posted February 5, 2014 .......They had some rocking BBQ...... Thanks man. We enjoyed the heck out of cooking it. Not sure if we met or not throughout the day, but glad you enjoyed it. It was the first time I had cooked for that many people, and was pleased with it. --Matt Tucker The Ozark Chronicles The pursuit of Ozark trout on the fly.
Justin Spencer Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Great job Tucker, it was outstanding, I too was disappointed by the tying speed of Mr. Wise. Ozark Sweetwater Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Big props to you Matt! The food was awesome and you make one helluva tea. Lancer it was good to finally meet you face to face. If you are into fishing and tying streamers, I would try to make it next year. http://ozarksweetwater.com
Lancer09 Posted February 5, 2014 Author Posted February 5, 2014 Matt I don't think we did but that chicken was freaking phenomenal. I decided I wanted smoked chicken again the next day and did some up the next day for the game. Trigg. It was a blast, barring something coming up i definitely planning on making it next year. I'll definitely give you a call sometime and see if you have a free day. Ive been working on that swap fly you sent in. It's a fun one to tie.
