Members longviewbasser Posted February 6, 2014 Members Posted February 6, 2014 i have a older champion and am having problems losing fish in the summer. i have a bilge pump and was thinking of using it as a spray bar without having to buy a aereator any suggestions i believe it would work
fishinwrench Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Better to keep water from the lake circulating from the LW pump than to aerate (re-circulate) from within the livewell alone. Ya gotta keep the pee flushed out and a fresh water transfusion happening constantly. Add some ice on really hot days.
blue79 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Adapt your inlet over to pvc to accept a homemade spraybar and get you a cheap 12v timer. My bar is glued together but not glued to the inlet.I fill the livewell with water and then snap the spraybar into place.I take it off once or twice to move alot of water.I got this timer off of amazon for $15-20.Can set it for 1-80 sec/min on,1-80 sec/min off.It was the cheapest timer i could find at the time and it works great for how long i fish. And like fishinwrench said, add ice on the hot days.I keep frozen water bottles in the cooler.
