Members Scottwold Posted February 16, 2014 Members Posted February 16, 2014 Today I noticed several dozen dead/dying shad back in a cove. Is this a "normal" thing for this time of year?
Moswimb8slinger Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Actually i haven't caught anything this week in coves like that. I threw jerkbait, A-rig with small 3in. paddle tails, big and small S-waver, 4in. spro BBZ1 shad, slow rolled double willow (white blades) white skirted spinnerbait, etc... nothing has proved productive
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Cold winter=dead shad. Threadfins are especially vulnerable. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
