White and Stripers

Water temp 38ish

Clarity stained 2 to 3ft at most

wind light out of the north

Bait, 1/2oz 1/4oz jigging spoons

Location. Horseshoe Bend

Depth 20 to 35 fow

Ice on yesterdays striper spot in the morning washed that out so I tried for walleye and Bass for a while to no avail about 12pm the ice melted so I went looking in the striper spot and marked massive schools of fish, dropped a jigging spoon down and instant White about 3.5pnds next drop was a striper 19'' and it just kept up.

I called WC and had him come play and called Nick as well, I took Nick out in my boat and we put 10 whites and 24 stripers ( barely shorts ) in the boat in about an hour and half, we lost a real nice striper at the boat and had a few strike-outs and one very creative white that somehow managed to wrap the prop several times.

Great day and these are some fatty whites. Nick has some nice pics he can post when he gets home. But here is a teaser.

I think Scott does whisper to the fish, I was jigging a spoon at the same general area and I only caught 3 whites. There were a couple of other boats near by as well, I did not see them catching the amount of fish Scott and Nick caught. Go figure!!

I sacrifice virgins before every trip to the kraken to appease Poseidon

He keeps saying this. I don't ask. I just accept and enjoy the fishing.

LMAO. Nick is a believer in the sacrifice now im betting... Hey I actually worked for those fish I had to stand on the front of my boat and jig for them.. Ok the secret was we just let the spoon sit on the bottom and they picked it up.
