Members CartneyAccess Posted March 2, 2014 Members Posted March 2, 2014 Here's the deal, I have a Supreme L48 with a 2013 Merc 20. When you try to engage the shallow water drive the prop and water intake are out of the water. It's not adjustable at all it's just useless, thank you Tohatsu. Well I figured I would get an exta trim pin to use when I need shallow water capability. Well Mercury want's $ 75 dollars for one so you can forget that. So here's what I came up with. The trim pin is within 100th of inch from a piece 5/16th piece of steel stock. A little welding, a little grinding, and wallah !!! I made 4 trim pins for less than $ 4 dollars.

Oh that's ALL Mercury, you can thank THEM. Tohatsu only designed/built the powerhead. All these years .....they've learned NOTHING.
