Another tough day on the water, fished for both crappie and bass from 9:30 to 3:00. Not one bite at all. Wanted to launch at Mutton but both ramps were icy and there was ice in the cove. Went to Old State Park and was able to launch and bust ice for the first 50 yards, no ice on the ramp or in front of the the ramp by the time we returned. Fished all the regular haunts with all the usual baits but with no luck. No wind, mostly sunny, and the water temps were 33 to 36 in the main lake. Every cove we tried to get back into was frozen over, best guess is that it needs until Friday afternoon to totally thaw the lake. Stopped by State Park on our way home and that cove is still iced up out to the end of the boat docks, should be able to launch there by late tomorrow afternoon. Talked with two other crappie boats but no one was catching anything. This weather pattern SUCKS! It was a beautiful day on the water and we saw a bunch of Bald Eagles. Was going to go back up tomorrow but since we can't get up the rivers or back in the big coves I'm headed to T.R., maybe I can find a bite there. Tight Lines All!

What did you throw on the Rock Duckydoty? Any help would be appreciated. Where did you launch?

I put in at Bridgeport and fished tandem 1/16th oz Bobby Garland jigs in the Flat Creek area. Lighter colors worked best today. Monkey Milk, threadfin shad, crystal lam. All fish were caught in 16 -20 feet of water on the flats. Yesterday darker colors worked.

Ahhhh, crappie fishing. I thought maybe you were bass fishing.

Watched the weigh in for a bass tournament in Kimberling city on table rock last weekend and all of the fish were caught on single tail grubs or 1/2oz+ football jigs. The shallowest anyone said they caught fish was 20 FOW and most said they were suspended in standing timber at about 25-40 feet deep in 60 FOW. Hope that can be of any help. Sorry its a day late!
