Mitch f Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I have a buddy who lives on 90 acres near Festus. He has 2 labs that he lets roam free. One night he woke up to a big ruckus out in the pasture right behind his house. He flipped on the flood lights that were facing the pasture and saw roughly 15-20 coyotes ripping his dogs up. The 2 labs were sitting with there butts touching each other. He brought his rifle with him and started walking towards them. He got within 30-40 yards before the coyotes would leave, even then he said there was one big alpha male coyote who stood his ground. Those things are tough. His dogs survived but were pretty tore up. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It's time for the pups to be here and they should be getting close to weaned, so dad is trying to feed a lot of hungry mouths. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members CartneyAccess Posted March 10, 2014 Members Posted March 10, 2014 Yep yotes if you look at the picture you see alley's of blood going in 4-5 directions. Textbook yote attack surrounded him and attack the backside I would bet 4-5 dogs did that.
