Dutch Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Scott I have only been down once and only caught blacks. By the time you get down the river should have several. I hope with the higher power pool that our old favorite banks still hold fish. I'll try to remember when you are going to be there and look for your boat. See you on the water.
Members Scott Keling Posted March 9, 2014 Author Members Posted March 9, 2014 Sounds good Dutch. I'll be in a black & burgundy ranger & a white Chevy truck. And I'll be puttin in at beaver.
Dutch Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Yep I remember your boat but I never know what I am going to be on any particular day as I fish with several guys down there.
Members Clete Posted March 10, 2014 Members Posted March 10, 2014 Put in Beaver this morning. Tough day. Fished all the areas where I had caught them in previous years.
RSBreth Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Yep - it's not on yet. Caught two tiny male 'Eyes, and an O.K. ( about 13" - 14") Brown trout on a Thomas Bouyant spoon (rainbow) and the walleyes on a 08 size XRap in silver/black.
duckydoty Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 It should start happening this week over there. Started getting into some nice whites on the James River Arm yesterday. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 It's generally spotty this early. The smaller males generally make the first move and they never seem to stay in one place very long. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 They are catching them at pothole West side? Most of the prime spots on Beaver will be gone and you probably won't be able to stir them with a stick at what's left. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members BiteMeBaits Posted March 15, 2014 Members Posted March 15, 2014 We caught several little males last night on the channel swings in beaver. Seems that they were biting anything with some vibration and flash.
