Bitethis Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I have a smaller boat, only has a 10HP on it. I am looking to put in close to Peach Orchard creek or Mash Hollow so I don't have an all day boat ride from cape fair marina...any places closer to Point 15 that I could put in? Looking to maybe go up the James arm a bit. Thanks in advance!
Champ188 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 There's a ramp at the foot of the 76 bridge right next to Peach Orchard.
GNSfishing Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Put in at Bridgeport or Flat Creek Resort Peach Orchard will be about the same distance from either place.
Dutch Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 You can launch just below Mash Hollow at the road that goes by the old Doty's bait shop. I see several do it all the time. You'd be about 1 mile from Peach and a few hundred Yds from Mash.

Dutch Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 It is not the greatest and there is no concrete ramp but I have done it lots of times over the years. When I had a small motor that is the only placed that I launched.
vonreed Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 If you do lauch at the boat ramp by pt15 you will have to back your trailer several hundred yards to the water. There is nowhere to turn around down by the water. It's a really rough ramp but puts you close which is nice with smaller motors. That's where I launch all the time.
