Yes sir, don't know him, but have heard the name.. I think during the drought here a couple years ago, hay was hard to come by, and I heard his name mentioned a time or two from folks on Crowleys Ridge where the cattle are around here. It's a small world, on the trout trip this winter, I think it was Quillback that has family in Kennett!

Yep my mothers side of the family (Akers) is from Kennett.

Hey Brett, I was going to ask you, but forgot - do you know a farmer by the name of "Tight" Williams? He's in his late 80's now, but still farming. He owns/rents quite a bit of land in the Bootheel. He's married to one of my mom's cousins.

Jeff, you bet, he's well known around Kennett. In fact, my Dad used to date his daughter way back before he met my Mom..lol. I think he's still farming some if i'm not mistaken, he and Dad a still really liked each other after all those years, seems like a nice old fellow, successful farmer to!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Yep Tight is a good man, one of the best. When my grandpa was alive, every Sunday after church he'd stop by Tight's house and they'd talk about farming and whatever. I'm drawing a blank on his daughter's name, I'll think of it eventually, or I can ask my mom. Small world.
