Put in at Larry Gale about 10 am and fished till 2 pm. Fished the cove across from Windermere first and put 4 keepers in the boat between 11 and 13 inches. Caught alot of males in the 7 to 9 inch range. Fished the docks at the entrance of Windermere cove and caught a bunch of little males not far off the bank, most under 8 inches. Seen water temps between 49 and 50. It was a good day to be on the water when the sun was out. My brother is coming in from Texas next week for our annual crappie run, hope it gets a little better. I have never been up there when the lake is this low. Don't know if I am earlier than usual or it is lower than usual but all my hotspots were high and dry but the lake is due to come up starting today.

I fished the little Niangua today for Crappie. Laydowns were the key. Roadrunners. White or yellow, 1/16th ounce. Three of us in the boat, limited out in 3 hours with 10 inch plus crappies. Biggest was 15 1/4, and 9 more over 14 inches.

Sounds like you had a better day than I did. I had green road runner setting in my cupholder all day and I even thought about tying it on but I never did. I took my dad up into the Little Niangua several years ago and we did very well. One of only a few fishing trips together and he is gone now.

You are probably right. Never even thought about that even after the title of my post :have-a-nice-day:
